Conclusion of tournament with professional volleyball athletes

With 14- to 18-year-old students as protagonists, during the European sports week, the Erasmus+ Sport program “Ariadne’s Thread for Youth Deviance” met in the municipal park.

Today, Thursday the 29th September 2022, professional volleyball athletes took part in the conclusion of the tournament: Georgia Goltsiou, Haris Sakoglou, Thanos Geromichalos, Thanos Tsirkos, Kostas Karagiannis, while during the week students of: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th lyceums of Katerini, 4th and 2nd High Schools of Katerini participated.
The end of the tournament took place today at the Municipal Park, where the special advisor of the Municipality of Katerini, Maria Ntantami, who coordinates the event, and the coach (volleyball), Adriana Golema, congratulated students and teachers for the great response and participation, while expressing thanks to all contributors and especially to the representative of the Hellenic Volleyball Federation Christos Taschounidis, the psychologist Eleni Rintou and the professional athletes.
As is known, three volleyball tournaments were already held within the program, under the supervision of experts, while the students expressed their views and concerns regarding youth deviation and marginalization in their reports. At the same time, seminars were organized for students-parents, while they will also follow for coaches-teachers.
