The seminar held at the Cultural Center with a positive response and participation.
A step for parents to discuss with each other, as well as with the help of experts, about the anxieties, concerns and questions that arise, around the critical period of adolescence gave the seminar entitled: “Adolescence: Challenges and opportunities”, organized by the Municipality of Katerini.
The seminar was held yesterday afternoon, at the Cultural Center of the Municipality, within the Erasmus + Sport “Ariadne program, with speaker Petros Diamantis, social worker.
As – among other things – was pointed out during the event, adolescence is a transitional period not only for adolescents themselves but also for their parents, who are called to leave the old, close relationship with their children and redefine their expectations, requirements and their role.
“THE ROUTE” OF THE PROGRAM
The greeting of the Mayor Kostas Koukodimos was conveyed at the beginning of the seminar, the Deputy Mayor of Planning & Local Development Stavros Christoforidis, who noted, among other things: “The Municipality of Katerini is the first time to participate in the European Program” ERASMUS “. Through the implementation of this program, we have made the exchange of good practices between European institutions a top priority, with a focus on issues that concern our young people. To date, we have already implemented 3 volleyball tournaments and 2 experiential student workshops, while more will follow in the fall.
As it turns out in practice from the development of the program until today, sports can give a creative way out to our young people. But today is the time for parents.
Our goal is to inform, raise awareness, exchange views and self-help members, as adolescence is an important, transitional period for children and at the same time a challenge for us parents, full of concerns, dreams and conflicts. “But adolescence is going to pass.” I congratulate all the participants of the seminar “.
The seminar was coordinated by the senior advisor of the Municipality of Katerini and responsible for the program (Maria Ntantami), while the presentation was made by Lena Georgouli.
At the end, the participants completed an evaluation questionnaire and received a certificate of attendance.
